2005 Ford Expedition – Full Detail – Ronkonkoma, NY

We’ve detailed many Ford Trucks at Five Star Detailing in the past few months. Recently, we detailed a 2005 Ford Expedition in Ronkonkoma, NY. This was a full detail packing consisting of wash/scrub, clay bar, wax, and interior treatment.

We washed the vehicle down to remove any loose debris from the paint, jams, and wheel wells. Next, we took our clay bar and lubricant to all painted surfaces to level the paint and bring it back to it’s natural state. After washing the vehicle again to remove clay residue, we dried the truck and applied a professional grade carnauba wax to protect the paint and leave a deep gloss on the burgundy colored paint and clear coat.

Last, we treated the tires and the vinyl trim around the exterior of the vehicle and polished the windows. Moving on to the interior, we vacuumed all carpeted surfaces, treated the dash, and polished the windows. There were a few stains we were able to remove from the carpets on the floors that the owner was pleased with.

This detailing job really brought the rich color of the paint back again. We were very happy with the results with the interior especially as we were able to restore the highly coveted “show room” look to all surfaces. The owner was equally pleased and we hope to maintain his fleet of vehicles in the future.

2000 Chevy Van Detailing – Ronkonkoma, NY

We detailed a 2000 Chevy Van (Complete Five Star Detail) in Ronkonkoma, NY. This van was very dirty and showing signs of mild oxidation. Before letting it get worse, the owner thought that we would be able to put some new life back into it and contacted us. There were mild swirl marks, but his main concern was bringing back the shine without doing a full paint correction job.

We began with a wash and scrub of the entire vehicle. This removed the bulk of the dirt covering the surface. The clay bar finished bringing the paint back to a “bare” state free of surface contamination. After drying the van down with microfiber, we applied a coat of carnauba wax to all painted surfaces of the Chevy Van.

The interior was thoroughly vacuumed and all vinyl and plastic was treated. We finished this detailing by polishing the windows and treating the tires to bring back the shine. Additionally, we spent extra time on the door jams as it appeared they had not been cleaned in a long time. The owner was very pleased with the results as he stated that it “looks like a new van!” We also felt that this Chevy Van went through a pretty drastic overhaul and we were equally pleased with the results.

Trailer Detailing – Oxidation / Stain Removal – Ronkonkoma, NY

The elements had really got to a trailer we recently detailed in Ronkonkoma, NY. It was stained, discolored, and needed to be restored. No problem for us!

We started by washing and scrubbing the trailed to remove surface contamination. After rinsing off we applied Acetone (solvent) to break down the deep staining and discoloration. We rinsed the Acetone off the sides of the trailer and dried before we applied a thick carnauba based cleaner wax to shine and protect the trailer.

After removing the wax the trailer looked new again. We polished the metal trim to complete this detail for the customer. He was very pleased with the results as he had tried to detail it previously but not achieved the desired results. We were also pleased with the drastic changes made to a difficult surface to work on. (plastic/fiberglass/metal) We don’t tackle trailers like this too often, but we are always up for a challenge!

1990 Bayliner – Complete Detail – Ronkonkoma, NY

We detailed a 1990 Bayliner boat in Ronkonkoma, NY last week. This was one of our more extreme details as this boat was heavily oxidized and needed to be compounded and waxed. Overall, this boat was in rough shape and needed to be detailed before being dropped in the water.

We washed + scrubbed, compounded, and waxed to achieve the results we did. The fiberglass on this boat was in fair condition, but the compound brought it back to life. The owner of this boat would like to turn this into a “show boat” complete with a new audio/visual system in the cabin. He is in the process of restoring parts now as engine work is being performed and a new bimini top has been placed on the boat.

After waxing, the fiberglass felt smooth to the touch and protected. The wax should hold through the winter before using the boat next spring. Additionally, all chrome pieces polished up nicely as they were in great condition.

The owner of this boat made a good purchasing decision as this Bayliner was mechanically sound, (needs minor engine work) and has a nice sized cabin with a bed. It’s the perfect family cruiser that has been restored with the help of a quality detailing job.

2002 Yukon Denali Detailing – East Hampton, NY

We recently detailed a 2002 GMC Yukon Denali in East Hampton, NY. This truck certainly needed a detailing as it has been used all summer going to and from the beach with children. The interior needed help as there was a lot of sand covering the majority of the carpeted surfaces.

We washed the car to remove any loose dirt and followed that up with a complete clay bar treatment over all the painted surfaces. We were able to remove all surface contaminants before drying the car down and applying a coat of carnauba wax.

This is the 2nd vehicle we’ve done for this client in East Hampton, NY. We look forward to continue to keep their vehicles in top condition throughout the year at their primary residence in Westchester County. Another job well-done by Five Star Detailing.
