2004 Monte Carlo SS – Full Detail -Commack, NY

We detailed a 2004 Monte Carlo this week in Commack, NY. This car was well taken care of, but needed to be detailed as there was tree sap on the hood from parking under a pine tree on the owner’s property. We washed the car down first to try and loosen the sap from the vehicle.

We took the clay bar over all painted surfaces of the vehicle to remove surface contaminants and remove the sap. This method worked to remove the tree sap efficiently and without damaging the clear coat.

Waxing the car went smoothly as this car really shined up after removal. On the interior of this vehicle we treated the leather seats, the dashboard area, and polished the glass. We vacuumed the carpets and the mats before placing them back into the vehicle. The owner was happy with the results will not deal with going to the car wash again!

2002 Mercury Sable Detailing – Commack, NY

Earlier this week we detailed a 2002 Mercury Sable in Commack, NY. This car needed to be detailed as there was quite a bit of dirt on the exterior surfaces. Additionally, it has been over a year since the last time it was waxed. The owner of this vehicle had previously gone to the car wash to have it detailed and did not enjoy dropping it off and picking it up later in the day.

We gave this vehicle a complete exterior wash and scrub, clay bar treatment, and coat of wax before moving onto the interior. We also treated all the plastic trim on the exterior and tires, and polished the glass. The interior was pretty clean but the vinyl and plastic definitely needed protection. As we finished the car we took a few pictures to show the shine we brought back to this otherwise “tired” looking station wagon. The owner was happy with the results and pleased that his paint is now protected going into the fall and winter season.

2008 Ford Explorer Detailing – Rocky Point, NY

Last weekend we detailed a 2008 Ford Explorer in Rocky Point, NY. This vehicle was in pretty good condition but needed some TLC to really bring the shine back. For this detailing, we started off by washing the vehicle down and giving it a good scrub. We removed the majority of the dirt during this stage including washing out the wheel wells which were very dirty. After drying the car, we took a clay bar to the painted surfaces.

After washing the car again to remove surface contaminants, we dried the car to prepare it to be waxed. After removing the wax, the paint was left with a brilliant shine and deep gloss. The interior was vacuumed, the dashboard area and vinyl/plastic trim were treated and we polished the windows inside and out to finish this vehicle. The owner was pleased with the results as we’ve been asked to detail their next car, a Ford Mustang.

1991 Mercedes Benz 560 SEC – Lattingtown, NY

We detailed a 1991 Mercedes Benz 560 SEC in Lattingtown, NY recently. This car had under 25,000 miles on it and had been garage kept through the years. This car needed to be detailed as it’s been a while since the last time it was even washed.

We gave this car the signature “Five Star” treatment consisting of a wash/scrub, clay bar treatment, and carnauba wax. The inside of this vehicle was vacuumed thoroughly, the vinyl trim and dashboard area was detailed and treated, and the windows were polished. The car looked great after we finished despite having to move it into the garage as rain started to come down preventing us from taking pictures outside. The owner was pleased with the results and we hope to detail their Mercedes SUV next.

1998 Chrysler Cirrus Detailing – Levittown, NY

Last Friday, we detailed a 1998 Chrysler Cirrus in Levittown, NY. This car was in rough shape when we found it. It was newly acquired by a young driver, (16 years old) and was in need of quality detail. We did not perform a full paint correction job on this vehicle, but the results were impressive from just a wash/scrub, clay, and wax.

After washing the car we took our clay bar to all painted surfaces to remove dirt on the clear coat, light surface scratching, and oxidation. In some spots there was heavy clear coat damage that we had to work around. After washing the car again to remove the clay there was a noticeable difference in the color and shine of the paint.

After the wax was removed, the shine was brought back to this previously “tired looking” Chrysler. The owner of the car was very excited as the paint was previously dull and lifeless. After detailing, the owner did some upgrades to the audio system and is looking to tint the windows to give this car more of a “sporty” look.
