2004 Mazda 6 – Complete Detailing – West Babylon, NY

On Friday we were asked to detail a 2004 Mazda 6 in West Babylon, NY. This car needed to be detailed as the owner was heading to New Jersey for a Mazda 6 car club meet. If you have ever been part of a car club having your ride freshly detailed is important as many pictures are taken.

We found the car in good condition, but with light water marks and surface contaminants on the paint. This week we didn’t have a lot of rain so there was also a fair amount of dust on the car as well. We rinsed the car down in preparation of treating it with our premium car wash formula. After a thorough wash and scrub we dried the car down with microfiber towels to make sure that we did not add any swirl marks to the paint.

Next, we took a clay bar to the painted surfaces. The clay removed light scratches, swirls, and surface contamination. We washed the car again to remove the lingering clay residue and any dirt that had not been removed. To finish up the exterior a high quality carnauba based was applied and removed with microfiber. The surface was left clean, protected and with a brilliant shine.

The interior of the car was vacuumed to remove loose dirt and debris from the carpets, seats, and console areas. The Mazda 6 is a well designed car that didn’t have hard to reach crevices. We treated the dashboard, vinyl, and plastic to bring the shine back. The leather seats were also treated as well. We finished up by polishing the windows and spraying the carpets and mats with our odor remover to keep the interior smelling fresh.

This car turned into a real head turned after we were finished with it. Many people in the neighborhood stopped and took a look for themselves. The owner of the vehicle was happy with the results and we hope the car’s shine outdid the others at the Mazda 6 meet that followed on Saturday afternoon.
