2006 Mercedes Benz CL600 – Complete Detail – Ridge, NY

We detailed a 2006 Mercedes CL600 in Ridge, NY. This gorgeous car needed to be detailed as it’s been months since the last coat of wax had been applied. Overall, it was in excellent condition when we found it, but needed a coat of wax to increase the level of shine and protection for the paint.

We waxed the wheels to bring out the shine of the chrome and protect them from the elements. Also, we’ve found the brake dust resists accumulation on rims that have been treated with wax. The owner has found that the large rotors and brake assemblies have a tendency to leave a lot of brake dust residue after heavy braking.

We used a high quality paste wax for this vehicle to bring out the deep gloss of the black paint. This wax left a brilliant shine and unmatched protection for the months to come. Though this car was garage kept, the last time it was detailed it was just polished. Remember, polishing will bring out the shine, but provides no protection for the paint.

We really enjoyed detailing this car as we were able to restore the shine. The method of applying the paste wax by hand and removing with microfiber left this car looking great. We hope to detail this car again in the spring and possibly provide polish and sealant in addition to wax.
