2006 z51 Corvette – Full Detailing – Farmingville, NY

We love detailing sports cars at Five Star Detailing. We had the pleasure of detailing a 2006 Corvette z51 in Farmingville, NY. The bright red on this car really stood out yet it was in need of a detailing job. There were fine swirl marks in certain areas and surface contamination from trees on the property. Despite having a special enclosure for the car, the debris from the trees overhead made its way on the cars paint.

We started by washing the car to remove the loose dirt and debris. We dried the car down with fresh microfiber towels to prevent adding swirl marks to the cars paint. After the Corvette was dry we went over all painted surfaces with a clay bar and lubricant. The clay bar was able to remove some fine scratches that were on the body of the car. We rinsed the car down again to remove the clay residue and any additional dirt lingering on the body of the car. To finish up, we dried the car down again with microfiber before waxing.

The wax we applied went on smooth and left the red color looking more bold than it already was. The wax removed easily and we finished the exterior by polishing the glass and restoring the plastic trim on the rear of the car. We moved onto the interior where we vacuumed, treated the leather, vinyl and dash area, and cleaned the trunk compartment.

The owner of this z51 Corvette was very pleased with the results. Immediately after detailing it we noticed some debris from the trees over head and moved the car into a safe zone. We hope to detail this car again next season. As detailing and car enthusiasts ourselves, we had a blast detailing this “little red corvette”. Another job complete by Five Star Detailing.
