2004 Dodge Viper meets Five Star Detailing

We recently detailed this beautiful 2004 dodge viper in red. It was not overly dirty to start but had a lot of contaminants stuck to the surface which we were able to get off with a premium hand wash and clay barring. Once the vehicle was completely clean we applied our highest quality wax on this vehicle to restore the paint to a glossy type finish. After a solid cleaning on the rims we polished them so they could once again shine as intended. Originally from Florida but now in New York and all cleaned up its ready to hit the road or a local car meet where this viper will surely turn some heads.

2003 Toyota Matrix Detailing – East Meadow, NY

We recently detailed a 2003 Toyota Matrix in East Meadow, NY. This car was in rough shape when we found it. It had recently been purchased from an older couple that did not maintain its appearance. Mechanically it was sound; however the exterior of the vehicle had never been waxed before. The previous owners did not take it to the car wash as it was parked on a street in Manhattan. The new owner got a steal on it and wanted to make the car look new. Calling the detailing specialists was the right move.

We washed the car down with a foam gun and used our microfiber wash mitts to scrub the vehicle down. There was a lot of dirt and surface contaminants on the paint as it had never been washed. Next, we used clay to level the paint and bring it to a bare state free off all containments. As we lubricated the painted surfaces the clay glided easily making stripping through years of built up grime.

After washing the vehicle down a 2nd time we dried it with microfiber and prepared to apply wax. We applied a coat of carnauba based wax with a Porter Cable 7424 XP and varied the speeds to remove black streaks on the paint.

A new shine was brought back to a previously tired paint job. Next, we detailed the interior and started by vacuuming the carpets, removing stains from the seats, treating the dashboard and plastic and vinyl trim, and last we polished the windows. To finish up, we cleaned out the door jams and sprayed some “new car” scent to give it that new car feel. The owner was shocked with the results of the detailing job. He was ecstatic that the car he just purchased ended up looking better than he expected. Five Star Detailing will continue to maintain this vehicle as we’ve been invited back in the spring to clean it after the rough winters in New York.

2005 Jaguar S-Type R – Five Star Detail – Queens, NY

We detailed a 2005 Jaguar S-Type R in Middle Village, NY. This car was in good condition when we found it, but needed a quality detailing job to enhance its appearance and give it a brilliant shine. We’ve detailed other vehicles at this client’s residence as they were happy in the past with our results. This was the first time that we were detailing the Jaguar as we were excited to get started.

We started by washing the vehicle down to remove the loose dirt on the paint. Since the car is white, the black dirt was visible on the paints surface. Next, we took our clay bar to the entire vehicle to level the paint and remove old wax and surface contaminants. The Jaguar was washed again as the dirt and clay residue glided off the paint. We dried the vehicle down using new and soft microfiber towels. The microfiber we use is super absorbent and does not leave any film behind. Using new and premium microfiber is always a treat!

We applied a high end premium paint sealant that the owners request. He wanted extra shine and protection to compete with the appearance of his brother vehicle. (Black 350z, garage kept) As Five Star Detailing has serviced the other cars in the family, we could not leave one brother outshining the other! After the sealant was applied by machine, let sit to haze, and removed by hand, an unmatched shine was left. The vehicle looked like it came off the showroom floor as family, friends, and neighbors commented as they strolled by.

The interior of the vehicle came out just as nice as the exterior as we detailed the dashboard area, cleaned and treated the leather seats, vacuumed and removed stains from the carpets. Last, we polished the windows and neutralized the scent on the interior. There was a park across the street where we took a few pictures to show off the ride. The owner of the vehicle was pleased with the results and we look forward to coming back next season to detail.

2003 Toyota 4Runner Detailing – Massapequa Park, NY

This 2003 Toyota 4Runner was the victim of a poor detailing job in the past as the owner had described to us. The vehicle was located in Massapequa Park and was heavily swirled. The swirls originated from a detailing job last spring. As I described to the owner, a full paint correction job on this vehicle could take many hours and would be significantly beyond the budget of an average detailing. We delivered a cost efficient solution to minimize the appearance of the swirls and also leave the car protected for the cold weather coming this winter.

We started by washing the car down to remove all dirt and surface contaminants. Next, we took a clay bar to all painted surfaces to level the paint and bring it back to a bare state. We washed the car again to rinse off the excess dirt that had been lifted by the clay. We dried the vehicle down with microfiber before moving on to applying a high quality sealant.

We opted to use a product called Jet Seal 109 on the black paint. We’ve found that this sealant provides the best protection and shine for black paint. It gives a high gloss “wet look” appearance after the product is removed. The most important feature of this product is that is greatly minimizes the appearance of swirl marks without having to go into a multi-step paint correction process. Many enthusiasts use this product for high end vehicles, but this product has properties that many make mid-market vehicles look amazing.

After removing the Jet Seal 109, we detailed the interior of the vehicle treating the dashboard area, leather seats, carpets, and windows. The owner was extremely pleased with our results and happy that we were able to deliver the solution while staying within a reasonable budget. We’ve earned the customers trust and will be back this spring to apply another coat of Jet Seal 109.

2007 Acura TL Type-S Detailing – Queens, NY

We detailed a 2007 Acura Type-S in Queens, NY. This car was just purchased from an individual that resides in Manhattan. The previous owner did not take care of well as they never washed it and it was not kept in a garage. Being that it is a 2007 vehicle, it was still in pretty good condition and needed a professional detailing job bring the shine back.

We started by applying our citrus wash concentrate into our foam gun to wash the loose dirt off the vehicle. The surface contaminants washed off the car nicely before we took a clay bar to the paints surface. During the stage all the black streaks and marks were removed from the vehicle. Instead of using a compound that may have abrasive properties, clay is great for spot treatments on marks that would not be removed with a carnauba based cleaner wax.

We applied a coat of wax with our high speed orbital polisher with a foam pad that wasn’t that dense to navigate around tight corners. After the wax was removed the exterior had a radiant shine that was visible to the owner and neighborhood friends.

The interior of the car was thoroughly cleaned as the previous owner was a smoker. We were able to remove the smoke scent and put life back into the leather seats that appeared dry and hard to the touch. The leather softened up and was left with a shine which the owner appreciated. Last, we polished the windows and deodorized the carpet and the headliner. The owner was very happy with the results and put it immediately back in the garage for safe keeping. We hope to service more clients in Queens and continue detailing Acura’s and other luxury vehicles.
