Trailer Detailing – Oxidation / Stain Removal – Ronkonkoma, NY

The elements had really got to a trailer we recently detailed in Ronkonkoma, NY. It was stained, discolored, and needed to be restored. No problem for us!
We started by washing and scrubbing the trailed to remove surface contamination. After rinsing off we applied Acetone (solvent) to break down the deep staining and discoloration. We rinsed the Acetone off the sides of the trailer and dried before we applied a thick carnauba based cleaner wax to shine and protect the trailer.
After removing the wax the trailer looked new again. We polished the metal trim to complete this detail for the customer. He was very pleased with the results as he had tried to detail it previously but not achieved the desired results. We were also pleased with the drastic changes made to a difficult surface to work on. (plastic/fiberglass/metal) We don’t tackle trailers like this too often, but we are always up for a challenge!

33ft Cruiser RV by Crossroads (5th Wheel)
We recently detailed a 33 ft. Cruiser RV by Crossroads in West Sayville, NY. This RV had a lot of surface area to be covered and we were certainly ready for the challenge. We started on the roof where there was a thick layer of black grime coating the surface. Scrubbing that down took some time, but the area of attention (on the roof) was right around the edges that are visible when looking up from the ground. If that area was not clean, when it rains black run-off would cover the sides of the RV.
After the roof was clean, we thoroughly scrubbed the entire RV down and used black streak remover as necessary on surfaces. We rinsed and dried the RV down to remove our RV specific wash concentrate. Compounding this RV took some time as the removal process was lengthy. We were able to restore the RV’s surface after the compound was removed and there was a noticeable difference after this step was complete in the look and the feel of the surface.
We continued the detailing process by applying a high quality wax to the exterior surfaces of the RV. This added additional shine and protection that was necessary to protected against the elements. The removal process went quicker as the surface as been prepped.
We finished up the RV by applying a dressing to the tires, and polishing the windows. The RV looked great after we finished despite the process taking longer than we anticipated. This RV should stay clean for the rest of this season as the owner (Scott) was going to use it with his family for an upcoming vacation. We appreciated the business and look forward to working on this RV again next season.

2006 35.5 ft. Paradise Point RV
This week we detailed a 2006 35.5 foot Paradise Point RV by CrossRoads. This RV had the classic “fifth wheel” design. It had been stored for the winter in a yard near the owner’s home. When we found it in the yard, it was dirty as it had not been covered for the winter. There were severe water marks and black residue on the upper portion of the back panel that needed extra attention.
We began this project by rinsing down the entire RV, including the roof. Next we carefully scrubbed the roof down and rinsed with water. After climbing off the ladder we rinsed the sides down again and scrubbed the RV section by section with our elongated brushes. This was one of the tallest RV’s we’ve detailing as some sections were over 12.5 ft. high. The majority of the dirt came off after rinsing with our specially formulated RV soap/cleaner.
The owner of this RV had never had it compounded before. There were many black marks, streaks, and imperfections on the body of this RV. The compound would strip it bare leaving us a surface ready for wax. The owner decided to move forward with the compounding and it made all the difference in the finished product. Compounding is such an important stage that is often overlooked. It really is worth the time, especially if it was never done before.
The wax was applied and removed with ease after compounding. All windows were polished as well as chrome trim. The aluminum wheels and tires were also treated during the final stages of detailing. The owner was pleased with the final result and put a cover on the RV after we were finished. The Paradise Point RV by CrossRoads is a high quality RV that is built to last. After this detailing job, (followed up by covering it) this RV will be head turner at any RV park on Long Island, Upstate NY, and Connecticut.

39 ft. Condor by R-Vision
This past weekend we detailed a 2004 39 ft. Condor by R-Vision. This RV was in good condition when we found it. However, this is Condor gets some heavy use during the spring thrrough fall so making it truly livable on the inside was the goal. The owners have taken this vehicle as far as Branson, Missouri . All other states visited have been appropriately marked off using decals on the door.
The dashboard area when we first found it did not look like it was ever dressed. We took our time to get all the vinyl surfaces back to new condition. We spent gave lots of attention to the leather seats because they looked liked they had never been treated before. The kitchen came out perfect as it was sanitized and cleaned thoroughly. All chrome pieces were polished, (sink and faucet) and the counter, microwave, oven, and the fridge were brought back to 100% clean condition, and sanitized to where this RV could be used immediately.
The bathroom was brought back to like-new condition. The shower, toilet, and sink areas were cleaned throrougly and sanitized. All mirrors were polished and special attention was placed on the floor and silicone edges that were in fair condition when we found them. The bedroom was detailed as well. We scrubbed all carpeted surfaces, cleaned to remove any dirt, stains, and odor. The beige carpet lightened up significantly and was more “liveable” when walking across the carpet with socks. All mirrors were polished, counter tops sanitized, and “wood” surfaces wiped down and cleaned. The TV was left dust free after we wiped it down.
The outside of the Condor came out better than we expected as we washed, scrubbed, compounded, and waxed all surfaces. The compound really did the trick for us and prepped the surfaced to be waxed. There were severe water marks on the sides of this RV. The sun really baked-in the dirty water marks. These marks only came out after agressively compounding the exterior. The outside surfaces really were smooth to the touch and left protected after removing the final coat of wax. All windows were polished and chrome pieces treated accordingly. We loved the “drunken squirrel” decal on side of the RV. The owner was kind enough to share the story behind that with us. Overall, this RV came out great and our customer were please with the results.

2006 Leprechaun RV by Coachman.
We recently detailed a 2006 Leprechaun RV by Coachman. The vehicle is 30’ foot in length. The Leprechaun we detailed was in pretty good condition when we arrived. Aside from a few water marks and discoloration (black residue on the sides) it would shine up nice.
There were many leaves and dirt on the roof. We began by sweeping the top deck and hosing it down. The roof was next hosed down and we gave it a good scrubbing to remove the black dirt. The outside of the vehicle started came together after the first washing. Our special RV cleaner soap really got through the washing where most of the difficult residue came off. We also did some spot treatment on the dark watermarks around the top. When drying the vehicle we were able to rub out the marks completely and remove any of the spot treatment cleaner. (A simple green spray)
We used a clay bar on the hood, fenders, and doors. This was the only part that had traditional paint (white) and we could use the clay bar and polishing lubricant. This area came out better than we expected and the white paint really came out after removing the first coat of waxed. Additionally, the chrome bumper came out great after we removed the chrome polish.
For this job the owner only wanted the carpets scrubbed and deodorized, and the windows polished on the inside. The carpets were in great condition after a thorough vacuuming. After the carpet dried, it had the feeling of a living room where you could feel comfortable walking in your socks. It certainly had that home feeling.
The contrast of the stickers to the body of the RV was clearer after the detailing. The rims and tires shined as well. The owner of this 2006 Leprechaun takes the vehicle to upstate NY with family and the beaches on Eastern Long Island. He’s drove this car as far as West Virginia. This 2006 Leprechaun in my opinion has all the features needed to have a great time at a campsite or RV park. The bedroom was cozy and the living room section extended outward giving ample space to the common area.
